Precious gems from Sadguru Sri Murali Krishna

  • God resides in every human being; it is essential for each of us to seek and understand Him.
  • God has provided each human being with all the tools to realize Him.
  • God is nearest where there is innocence and charity.
  • Remembrance of God comes only when there is suffering. It is suffering that brings us closer to God.
  • We are born with a purpose to liberate ourselves. Hence, life should not be wasted.
  • Pray to God to bestow strength and wisdom above everything else.
  • Never try to correct others unless you have first corrected yourself.
  • The love we show towards God should be similar to the love bestowed by a mother upon her child.
  • Our words must bring only love, solace and comfort; they must not cause injury to anyone.
  • Our actions must have the purpose of being helpful to others.
  • Sins are extinguished only when our actions are pure (selfless).
  • Never kill an ant, even if it bites. Developing tolerance of smaller pains enables us to become compassionate and withstand greater pains.
  • Your palate can taste sweetness only after tasting bitterness.
  • Be grateful to God whose compassion has given us this life.
  • Human life is the last chance to rectify our misdeeds and attain moksha (liberation).
  • Jnana (wisdom) is the medicine. Wisdom cannot be owned by anybody; God is present where there is wisdom.
  • Divine Grace is like the flow of a river: it flows consistently in one direction. If you go in the opposite direction, you must be prepared to face the consequences.
  • Let the darkness (ignorance) permeating over all things, mobile and immobile yield way to light (self-awareness).
  • Be a Sudama[19]in bhakti (devotion), a Hanuman[20] in balam (strength) and a Sri Rama in karma (dutiful action).
  • You should tie the knot of a sling only on a strong tree! (Our actions must match our capacities).
  • God’s Grace can be likened to the fragrance of sandalwood. You can experience God only through the Guru. The Guru corrects. He prepares the seeker through correction. You have to strictly follow the advice given by the Guru if you wish to access divine fragrance.
